Fundraising is mission critical to a vibrant Republican Party. I enjoy interacting with donors and will make it a priority to check in personally with major donors throughout my tenure as RNC Chairman. The WI GOP brought in millions despite some of the nation's most restrictive state campaign finance laws. I will seek not only donors' funds, but also their ideas and suggestions for moving the party forward.

This past election cycle, Wisconsin built one of the most effective ground operations in the nation. Our grassroots effort staffed 20 Victory offices and made over 3.2 million direct voter contacts. We had the best GOTV program in the country in the final 12 days. We made a special effort to reach out to tea party organizations and third party groups and we worked well together. Working together, we can bring similar results in the 2012 election cycle across the nation.

Hosting a vibrant 2012 national convention is vital to a successful 2012 election season. We must work together as a Committee to ensure that the 2012 convention is as effective as possible. Not only do we need to ensure that the work we do is recognized by our committee members, but we have to make sure that our nomination means something. By restoring integrity to our national convention, we will take back the White House in 2012.

As we face the first post-census election of the decade, redistricting will be a critical issue. Drawing district boundaries, whether at the state or federal level, is extremely important to maintaining and growing a functioning party for years to come. We must ensure Republican interests are aggressively represented.

The RNC needs a leader focused on results. Someone energetic, humble, and dedicated, who will spend countless hours raising money and reaching out to members. Delivering a conservative message to voters and supporters is critical. Republicans have the right message and the right solutions for America. Delivering that message skillfully and persuasively will be the hallmark of my chairmanship. I have executed in Wisconsin and will execute at the RNC.
