Samsung is quite a big fish in the smartphone industry because they’ve made a name for themselves by creating and selling some of the best Samsung mobile phones in Pakistan. They’re so good that they can even rival the likes of Apple, which is arguably the best smartphone manufacturer in the world. 

That’s why it goes without saying, but the S22 Ultra 5G also comes with the best tech at the time because it’s one of their best players. Granted, they do have another big player in the game in the form of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, but today we’re talking about the S22 Ultra 5G. If you want to buy it in 2023, these are the features that you need to look out for.

1. Display

The display of all of the Samsung mobile phones is excellent. The refresh rate and the overall brightness of the screen are so good that it feels like butter. It comes with a mind-blowing 6.8 inches, which is one of the biggest screens you’ll see on any new or used mobile phone. It’s basically like a mini tablet in your pocket but with the design of a phone😂. 

The resolution of the phone is 1440 x 3088 pixels, which is wide enough for you to enjoy long movies or gaming sessions. Since it has been almost a year since the release of this phone, you can find it in used condition to get the most out of it. Just make sure that the display of the phone isn’t cracked or hasn’t been replaced because if so, then it’ll only cause problems for you.

2. Processor

Depending on the type of variant you’re getting, this phone comes with two types of processors. One uses the Exynos 2200, and the other uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Both of these processors go neck to neck in terms of performance, but Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is slightly ahead of the other.

The variant that I bought for myself is the Snapdragon one, and the overall multitasking on the devices is simply amazing. I also played the COD (Call of Duty) on it, and I never felt as if the phone was stuttering in any way. 

3. Battery

The final thing that you need to look out for is the battery. You won’t have to worry if you’re buying a brand new S22 Ultra, but you should keep in mind the overall battery health of a used one. Meaning it won’t be able to hold the charge as long as it should have. If it were a used iPhone, then you can just check the battery health in the settings, but this is a Samsung mobile phone. 

You can find out the overall cycle count of the battery using some advanced techniques, but it isn’t worthwhile. Just take a burst shot of at least 300 pictures, and if the battery is dropping much faster than it should, then the battery degradation is high. But since this phone isn’t even a full one-year-old (by the time of this article), there is nothing for you to worry about if you plan on buying a used one.

Now the main question is should you buy a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G in 2023? The short answer is “Yes.” Samsung is a well-established brand, and buying a flagship smartphone from such a company is always a good choice, no matter if you buy a used or a new smartphone.
